The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) is a leading African philanthropy that promotes youth entrepreneurship as a driver of economic development and poverty reduction across all 54 African countries. Since 2010, it has trained over 2.5 million young Africans and provided more than $100 million in seed funding to over 27,000 entrepreneurs, who have collectively generated $4.2 billion in revenue and created over 1.5 million jobs. Rooted in the philosophy of Africapitalism, TEF positions entrepreneurs and the private sector as central to Africa’s transformation and inclusive growth. Through partnerships with global organizations and a strong focus on women and underserved regions, TEF has lifted over 2.1 million people out of poverty and impacted more than 4 million households.
